THOMAS ALBERT LATHAM

Thomas Albert Latham age 88 died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. Services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Lebanon United Methodist Church in 1118 Lebanon Road Eupora, MS, with Rev. Guss Shelly and Rev. Raleigh Richter officiating. Burial will at the church cemetery. Visitation will begin two hours prior to service at the church. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home in Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Latham was born on Friday, November 16, 1923 in Webster County, MS to the late Henry Clifford and Mabel Tot Lamb Latham. He was a lifelong member of Lebanon United Methodist Church where he served as song director, Sunday School Teacher, chairperson of 2 building projects, was a delegate to the annual conference for 60 years, served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee, Trustees, Administrative Board, and was the current chairman of the Lebanon UMC Cemetery fund. Mr. Latham was a 35 year member of the Lions Club, and Sons of the American Revolution. He was also instrumental in compiling and editing a book on the History of Webster County.

Survivors include: His wife of 58 years: Flora Bettie Gammill Latham One Daughter: Lynette L. McDougald, and her husband Rev. Ron McDougald of Starkville, MS

Grandchildren: Rebecca McDougald and her fiancé Tom Bennitt, of Oxford, MS Robert McDougald of New Orleans, LA Beth McDougald and Eric Cranford, of Starkville, MS

Pallbearers will be: Robert McDougald, Tom Bennitt, Eric Cranford, Jerry Patridge, James Carl Hubbard, and, Bob Moncrief
