JOHN PATRICK

John Stanley Patrick, age 80, of Ethelsville, AL, passed away March 24, 2012, at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL. Graveside services will be Friday, March 30, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Forest Cemetery in Ethelsville, AL, with full military honors and Rev. Melvin Mordecai officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 30, 2012, from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mr. Patrick was born November 13, 1931, in Louisville, KY, to the late Frank C. and Johnnie Nance Patrick. He was a retired United States Air Force Veteran having served for 20 years as a jet engine mechanic and instructor. Mr. Patrick also worked a number of years as an air conditioning and refrigeration instructor at Crump, TN, Vocational School. In addition to his parents, Mr. Patrick was preceded in death by a son, Gordon Randal Patrick. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Martin and her husband Mark of Ethelsville, AL, sons, Johnny Patrick and his wife Cindy of Vacaville, CA, and Mike Patrick of Potts Camp, MS, brothers, Wade Chip Patrick of Citronelle, AL, and Billy Patrick of Citronelle, AL, sisters, Peggy Edwards of Citronelle, AL, and Dorothy Martin of Ethelsville, AL, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
