AGNES EDWARDS

Agnes Lorene Edwards age 76 died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Martin Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Egger Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Edwards was born on Sunday, March 31, 1935 in Monroe County, MS to the late Bill and Nettie Gosa Pace. She was of the Baptist faith, and lived most of her life in Caledonia prior to moving to the Windsor Place 3 years ago. She was a seamstress and spent most of her working life at Caledonia Manufacturing Company and Vernon Manufacturing Company until her retirement in 1977. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband L.D. Edwards, two sons, two grandsons, four brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include: One Daughter: Sue Fortner (Frank), Millport, AL

Two Sons: Mike Edwards, Caledonia, MS Mack Edwards, Caledonia, MS

One Step-Son Lester Edwards (Joyce) of Columbus, MS

One Sister: Betty Williams, Amory, MS

9 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
